Terri Witcher has a passion for helping people understand the sometimes complex Medicare system and the different options available.  People are so overwhelmed and confused with all the different parts of Medicare, timelines and mass amount of media either by TV or mail, what other people are telling them, etc.

 

"My approach is a bit different in that; I like to find out first who is your Doctor, specialist, care giving, nursing home, etc.  Who is important in helping you stay health and help better your quality of life?  It’s very important for the Medicare recipient and their family has someone on their side through this process not just someone trying to sell a certain product.  Everyone is different I believe Medicare products should be looked at individually, what works for someone else might not work best for everyone.

 

Learning about Medicare first hand; my father had MS and was on Medicare once Medicare Reform was implemented we as a family were dazed and confused to say the least, not to mention working, taking care of our children, etc. and we missed the very important timelines which cost my father and our family very much both financially and mentally.  It was a huge learning curve not just Medicare but learning how to survive on just Part A while keeping his home and what savings he had.  Once my father passed I obtained my Life and Health insurance license, I thought there had to be other people as confused as we were and I wanted to help them so they didn’t have to go through what we did.  Losing my father was painful but I have been blessed to be able to help others with something we struggled with and being able to meet some of the most wonderful people along the way I truly considered friends."
